Have you seen the latest Korean beauty trend?
It’s all about achieving a baby face — soft, round features and smooth, radiant skin. In Korea, they call it Dongan.
Now, I know what you might be thinking…
Is this only for teenagers and 20-somethings?
Not at all.
While we may not get that exact “baby face” look (and honestly, who wants to go back that far?), we can absolutely get smoother, more youthful-looking skin — without injections, procedures, or surgery.
I’ve been using a simple four-step method that really works. In fact, people often tell me I have “baby skin.” 💁🏻♀️
And I promise — these steps are easy, affordable, and all about being consistent.
💧 Step 1: Repair + Protect Your Skin Barrier
Use products that strengthen your barrier — nothing harsh, no over-exfoliating.
Look for lipids, fats, and hyaluronic acid.
I use two Korean staples:
- A hydrating essence called Secret Key (a great dupe for SK-II) I get from Amazon.
- A milky hyaluronic toner from Byoma (Target or Amazon)
Oh — and sunscreen every day. No excuses!
✨ Step 2: Gentle Microneedling
I’ve done this for 15+ years and it helps smooth skin and boost collagen.
I use 0.25–0.50mm needles, 2–3x per week — usually while watching TV.
Keep it gentle. If you apply a serum after, I recommend Timeless Beauty a Vitamin C serum.
🥤 Step 3: Hydrate (Inside + Out)
Think: moisturizing Korean sheet masks, soups, fruits, veggies, and omegas.
Dry skin = aging skin. Plump it up with moisture everywhere you can.
🔴 Step 4: Red Light Therapy
I’ve been using red light devices since the COVID days.
Newer models are rechargeable, lightweight, and so much easier to stick with.
Look for one with near-infrared light — it gets deeper into the skin to tighten, brighten, and boost collagen.
Bottom line?
Consistency is everything. Make these steps a habit and your skin will thank you — with that baby-smooth glow we all want. 😊
For a younger you!
