I have to admit, I have always been fascinated with at-home devices.
This goes back to my teenage years when I was old enough to order through the mail – by myself with my own hard-earned money.
And I remember my first at-home device.
It was a steamer to replace ironing. It was going to solve all my problems. I was, and still am, the world’s worst when it comes to ironing. So I was all in when I found something which might work more efficiently than my own ironing.
I also remember my mom laughing at me and warning me that it wouldn’t work. And I remember all too well the burns I received when the thing was sputtering boiling hot water drops all over the place.
You might think I learned my lesson from that first purchase. But, of course, I didn’t.
I just loved gadgets (still do) – remember, that’s what we called them?
It didn’t matter if it was for the kitchen, the yard, the car, hair, skin or for the dog, etc … the list goes on.
I considered myself a gadget junkie. I was always on the lookout for the latest and greatest.
And when I think about it, I’m guessing that all these crazy devices must grab the attention of many (and make a lot of money) because until this day they keep coming out with more.
So … ahhhh … I’m not alone 😅.
I also chuckle to myself as I write this. You see, when I think about it, my first at-home device was for removing wrinkles. And, 40+ years later, I’m still in search of that device – just to remove a different kind of wrinkle.
Life is ironic that way.
By this point, though, you must be wondering why I’m taking this trip down memory lane?
Well, I’ve been looking at a new device -surprise, surprise!
For whatever reason this time I’m remembering how my mom warned me years ago. And I’m looking at all the other devices sitting on a tiered cart in my bathroom, just taking up space – at-home devices that never really did anything but cost me time and money (and sometimes pain) like the steamer.
Yet I’m wondering if I should once again jump into another purchase.
But nowadays we have the internet at our fingertips. So I try to research as much as possible. I try to figure it out. One glowing report after another. Nothing super concrete. It becomes confusing.
What to do?
I guess I’m going to take a leap of faith (once again) to try something new and hope it works.
Something that removes that wrinkle.
And of course I will let you know if it’s amazing. But I’ll put it on that tiered cart if it’s not.
That brings me to the point of this email …finally!… which is to let you know what gadgets and devices I have purchased over the years that I still use and still love – ones that I feel actually remove a wrinkle (or at least make them look less visible).
These are gadgets that I make nothing from so you can actually trust what I’m saying. An honest review.
Without further ado and in no particular order:
And the non wrinkle treatment I would recommend would be an infrared device for pain and inflammation.
If you want to read more information about any of the gadgets above I have made the list clickable. So just click on the word(s) to take you to that gadget.
Now please do me a favor … tell me what your favorite gadget or at-home device is.
I would love to know.
And it doesn’t have to be for skincare. Can be anything.
Maybe we can continue this conversation and learn from each other.
The best and most-trusting recommendations come from friends!
Can’t wait to hear from you!
To a happy weekend!
And a younger healthier you!
