The consequences of pain can age you in many ways. Pain may prevent you from eating properly, exercising, or even sleeping, all of which will age your major organs and make you feel and look older.
Pain can stop you in your tracks and keep you from living your life the way you want.
And pain medications have their own set of side effects and drawbacks. Side effects can include, nausea, drowsiness, constipation, anxiety, confusion, headaches, sleep problems, dizziness, diarrhea, weight gain, weight loss, osteoporosis, liver toxicity, loss of sexual desire … and the list goes on.
That’s why today I want to focus your hacks on natural pain relievers. Through my research and my own experimentation I have found the following:
- White willow bark is nature’s aspirin. It can relieve symptoms of headaches, backaches, muscle pain, cramps, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and joint pain. You can take as a supplement, a tea, or an extract. Use as needed. If you are on blood thinners please check with your doctor.
- Clove oil is amazing pain reliever for toothaches, short term. Long term effects could deaden the nerve so use it for temporary relief before seeing the dentist.
- Rub on some peppermint oil for immediate relief of muscle, nerve or joint pain. Mix 10 drops of essential oil to an ounce of a carrier oil (ie, almond, apricot, olive, avocado oil, etc.).
- Bromelain, which is derived from pineapples, have many natural pain relieving abilities. It may be used to speed healing from an injury or surgery because of its anti-inflammatory properties. It also helps sinusitis because of its ability to thin mucus in the nasal cavity. Bromelain comes in creams as well as a supplement. Studies report dosages should be 500-2000mgs per day.
- Indian frankincense, also called boswellia, has been known to reduce inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and bursitis. The recommended dosage is 300-400mgs, three times per day.
- Feverfew taken as a tincture, tea or tablet is a preventative treatment for migraine sufferers. In supplement form take 50-100mgs daily.
- Relieve tinnitus with periwinkles. Taken as Vinpocetine , 20mgs per day, it’s the most natural treatment.
- Chinese skullcap can help relieve allergies, infections, tension headaches and inflammation. Available as a supplement, tea or extract. Use as needed up to three times per day.
I hope these tips help you as much as they’ve helped me.
For a healthy more beautiful you!

P.S. For a natural pain reliever that contains bromelain, Indian frankincense and Chinese skullcap try Mobilify . It reduces pain and inflammation. I have actually given this to friends who have taken it for a month and no longer had knee or ankle pain that they had endured for years.
